The company buys and sells for its’ own account as well as acting as a commission agent where appropriate. Our preferred way of doing business is as a commission agent.


There are several advantages to this type of arrangement.


First, it is a simple and transparent agreement and we simply act on behalf of the party that has engaged us. This leaves us free to “shop around” and talk to a number of companies, so as to get the best deal for our client.


It can be argued that adding a commission makes the transaction uncompetitive, but our experience is that the prices and quality varies so much between suppliers that we can easily justify our effort. In any event, we are not interested in the low margin segment.
