Apparently there are only a few manufacturers of high strength “silica metal” used in performance racing wheels.

Client brief was to locate suppliers of the raw materials used in the manufacturer of silica metal and the related aluminium casting and finishing in Thailand.

Work was challenging and interesting as it required investigating the entire supply chain – raw materials used in the manufacturer of the metal as well as the final product (racing car wheels)

Over several weeks we obtained detailed pricing at all levels and even offers of samples – this being from a tight knit and suspicious group of manufacturers.
